ACERETECH's EPS foam recycling pelletizing system project in Denmark

ACERETECH is carrying out a 1000 kg/h EPS foam recycling pelletizing project in Denmark, which is a relatively large project. Amongst other things, EPS foam is recyclable and going through compaction equipment before pelletizing is currently the most widespread method of recovery and recycling. In addition, the EPS waste plastic is also compressed and thermally melted by and specialist foam compressor, eventually forming a compressed block.

The final shredded blocks can then be granulated to form EPS pellets, which can be reused in the production of new foam products.

With the increasing popularity of green living and the reduction of carbon emissions, the recycling of EPS is now being highly utilised.

The equipment used by ACERETECH for this EPS project includes a plastic shredder, a compaction plant, a secondary single-screw plastic pelletizing plant and an underwater pelletizing system, a combination that allows the customer to maximise its production capacity.
